Finzly: "Leadership in Bank Transformation and Innovation”

Pathward's Senior Vice President of Product Management Suhas Reddy spoke at finzpire 3.0, an event where professionals came together to shape the future of banking. During the event, Reddy joined Finzly CEO Booshan Rengachari on stage for a discussion on Smarter, Faster, Better Transformation at Banks.

Following the event, Finzly published an article highlighting insights that Reddy and other speakers at the event shared about rapid technological advancements, evolving customer expectations and increasing regulatory pressures. According to the article, in conversations with Rengachari, the speakers focused on three pillars for successful transformation: focusing on customers, using new technology, and setting clear goals.

The article highlights Reddy’s comments on using human-centric design and a customer-first approach to drive forward innovation and financial inclusion.

"There's a philosophy behind taking what we call relationship banking and embedding that into digital experiences. First, it's empathy. You need to be able to walk a mile in the shoes of your users, your customers. You have to really know your customers and meet them where they are,” said Reddy.

"Second, you design for experiences - not for products, not for solutions,” he added. “If you solve for the experience, you tend to cut across value streams, cut across bank silos, and solve it for how they perceive the journey.”

The article also shares insights from Reddy and other speakers about the need to blend risk management with innovation and how maintaining a balance between the two is critical for banks, and qualities Reddy believes are critical to leadership, culture and financial inclusion.
