I have a question about . . .

Prepaid Gift or Reloadable Card

Pathward issues many prepaid cards through partners, but we do not directly service those cardholder accounts. To access your account details or get assistance, see 'How do I get help?' below for help finding the appropriate contact information.

Look at the back of your card for the website URL where you can login to manage your card. You’ll also find the customer service phone number for cardholder support. This is often located in the bottom right-hand corner of your card but can also be at the top – above the magnetic strip. Virtual cards have that information on the card's front.

Your cardholder customer service team can help you with:

  • Account Balance
  • Account Status (locked or blocked cards)
  • Activating Your Card
  • ATM Access
  • Authorization Holds or Release Times
  • Card Expiration Date
  • Card Replacement (lost or stolen cards)
  • Closing Your Account and Requesting a Refund Check
  • Direct Deposits and ACH Questions
  • Disputing Transactions
  • Fees
  • Fraud Reporting
  • Loading Funds onto Your Card
  • PIN Setup or Reset
  • Routing and Account Numbers for Direct Deposits
  • Setting up Transfers
  • Transaction History or Statements
  • Unsolicited Cards

You may also call 866-550-6382 and enter the first six digits of the card/account, and Pathward will route you to the correct Customer Service team for your card.

Email your inquiry to CustomerService@pathward.com for assistance and we’ll connect you with your provider.

If you were given Pathward’s routing number or were referred to Pathward regarding an account, transaction, or deposit, but you do not have a prepaid card account, please email us at CustomerService@pathward.com. We’ll assist you in identifying the correct provider.

Tax Refund, Refund Advance, or IRS Deposit

Pathward works with many tax preparation companies and acts as a Refund Transfer bank. The IRS sends the refund to a temporary tax account before fees and/or loans are deducted. Proceeds are deposited into your bank account once that process is complete.

To determine where your refund went, match your routing number with the guidance below:

Routing Numbers 101089742 or 091409843

These belong to H&R Block Emerald Card.

Routing Number 291471024

This routing number is associated with Pathward Tax and is one of our many tax preparation partners.

  • Call 888-782-0860, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (CDT)

Other Routing Numbers

Email CustomerService@pathward.com and we will research which prepaid debit card company the ACH went to. Please include the following information:

  • The routing number
  • Account number and/or a 15-digit bank trace number

This will help determine which provider received your deposit.

If you receive a refund advance loan or other tax-related product from one of our third-party tax partners, please contact them directly:

Loan or Line of Credit

Pathward may be the bank that funds certain loans or lines of credit, but this website does not service those accounts.

  • Review your loan paperwork to find the correct servicing website and Customer Service number
  • If you don’t have the paperwork, email CustomerService@pathward.com. We'll help identify the proper loan provider.
